Get your green thumb on! 🌿👍
I love sharing the gift of green and am currently doing a limited number of special, customizable events, tours and workshops to help bring more green into people's lives. We list both public and private events here; and if you're looking for something customized, just send us an inquiry.
Half (50%) of all profits from these workshops and tours will be donated to two initiaitves, which are near and dear to my heart and that I look forward to telling you about—the Mezimbite Forest Center for artisan training and forest restoration in Mozambique; and to the Path of the Anacondas initiative via Nature Culture International to safeguard the Amazon rainforest. 🌿
DIY plant workshop for the office
For many of us, getting stuck behind a computer all day can be draining, so we designed this workshop as a much-needed break from the daily grind. This workshop involves a talk, outlining the benefits of plants in one's home and office, and a DIY planting lesson where each individual employee creates his/her own small garden. Workshop is a unique and creative team builder and is explicitly designed to help restore health, wellness and peace of mind.
Create your indoor urban jungle
We know why Pantone's shade for 2017 is Greenery! Turns out we're all craving a little more green in our lives, and the easiest place to start is in the home. Plants not only help brighten a home, office or apartment, but also have other undeniable benefits, like helping purify the air and soothing our stress. This workshop will take you through the plant basics, including considerations for growing plants indoors and plant pests. This workshop includes a tour at the Hanging Gardens of Brooklyn. Plant DIY tutorial is optional.
Williamsburg Brooklyn garden tour
Tucked away in Williamsburg, Brooklyn there are a number of green spaces for the eyes to behold—indoors, outdoors, on rooftops, and in alleyways. Sure, we'll keep it hyperlocal but you'll soon see the amazing amount of green that's just within a 10-block radius. Participants will get a chance to enjoy some of the local scenery—as well as the local greenery. This tour includes a house tour at the Hanging Gardens, as well as a visit to at least 4 more separate locations.
